Dance is 6:30-10:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, with a beginner lesson the first half hour in the air-conditioned gym at Harmony School, 909 E 2nd St in Bloomington, IN, 47401.

Kingfisher plays both traditional and modern contra dance music, and has been hailed as one of the most versatile bands on the road today. Jeff Kaufman anchors the duo from the piano and mandolin, along with a number of instruments he created himself, giving Cecilia Vacanti the opportunity to wow you with intense fiddling renditions of tunes across the spectrum. The 44th Annual Sugar Hill Contra Dance Weekend presented by the Bloomington Old Time Music and Dance Group! Friday evening, August 23 to Sunday noon, August 25. Just outside of Bloomington, Indiana, on beautiful Lake Monroe at the lovely Ransburg Boy Scout Camp, 7599 Waldrip Creek Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401. 

Once again, we’ve reserved the perfect natural space for dancing, live music, and being a part of the community of musicians and dancers.
Camp, choose a bunk in air-conditioned rustic cabins, or reserve your spot in modern air-conditioned cabins.
Enjoy workshops, jamming, singing, canoeing, beach activities, and more!
Reconnect with old-time friends, meet new friends, and dance, dance, dance!
Great meals and snacks all weekend!
